Road Map Development
Description of Project
The organisation’s value was defined in a risk impact matrix which we had pre developed.
We were required to deliver the Road Map from 2008 to 2013, with the client then prepared to implement the plan with existing resource.
Chaucer’s Scope
Our team designed and developed all materials for the project, providing expert advice on Change, Project and Programme Management. As part of the Road Map Toolset and Processes, we delivered:
- Change Activities (in form As-Is / Change Activity / To-Be) by workstream, between 2008 and 2013.
- Spreadsheet tool to capture and manage Change Activities.
- A full risk analysis by workstream, documenting the impact, probability, manageability and owners for all risks (with actions developed for high risks).
- Risk Template Tool in Excel, with automatic calculation of Risk Rating and plotting of Risk Charts including Impact x Probability Matrix and Risk Rating x Manageability Matrix.
- Six Year Plan (Road Map) Tool in Excel, showing all Change Activities and Risk Mitigating Activities (for High Risks) for all workstreams over the six year period.
- Proposed Programme Management Governance & Structure.
- Proposed processes for managing the programme including reporting, change control, risk management, issues management, project close-out reports and quarterly review meetings.
Benefits
The Road Map tools and processes we delivered will help safeguard a minimum of $1bn worth of revenue for the Organisation over the six year period.
And despite the fact that the organisation’s Management Teams had spent most of 2007 trying to develop an appropriate plan themselves, we were still able to step in and deliver before the end of the Q1 2008 deadline.
