The 'One Room' Company!

Much is said, and much is misunderstood, when discussing the benefits of pursuing a strategy for managing an organisation’s knowledge. Most organisations are also aware that knowledge capture is different to capturing data.

It’s not about technology either, and it requires a shift in the behaviour of individuals if it is to succeed. For a large organisation with thousands of people located across the globe, sharing anything, let alone their knowledge is a challenge, so why not put them in one room.

The technology permits you to build one room, albeit virtually, that everyone can occupy, across time-zones, where everyone can be heard and most questions can be answered instantaneously.

Chaucer can help you ensure that you select the right approach for identifying the appropriate knowledge journey for your organisation. We might not know what knowledge, if exploited, will grow your business, but we have a ‘way’ of leading you through your journey of discovery.

Chaucer has upgraded to Cloud

We have successfully migrated all our internal systems to Cloud. We have achieved an 80% reduction in IT running costs and improved capability and service provision by moving all our internal systems (Email, Document Management, CRM, Remote Backup, Collaboration, etc.) to third party Cloud sourced environments.

This has been a great success and delivered benefits beyond our expectations. It has enabled us to improve our service to our clients as it is much faster and more cost effective than we could have achieved using internally hosted systems. We are very pleased with the performance of our selected suppliers and partners. Moving to Cloud based platforms has allowed Chaucer to achieve 100% up-time for all services and provides the very latest software versions.

In addition, Cloud based systems dynamically scale to support changing user levels and our clients requirements. All of Chaucer’s systems have been outsourced and upgraded. Material cost savings have been made even with the addition of extra services. After six months of very smooth operation Chaucer has been able to simplify its IT infrastructure and close its now redundant UK datacentre.
