Consultant awarded professional accreditation by industry body

Consultant Deborah Feakins of Chaucer Consulting has been recognised by the independent professional body for Change Management professionals, the Change Management Institute (CMI).  Following a rigorous assessment process Deborah was presented with her Accredited Change Manager award.

“The assessment process validates that a candidate can effectively fulfil the Change Manager role in the workplace.”  said Helen Campbell, Global Accreditation Officer for CMI.  “It focuses on what the candidate does rather than what they know and is recognised by recruiters and employers as a valuable indicator of ability to perform well in a change management role.”  Deborah underwent a rigorous assessment to attain the award including a written submission, reference checks and an assessment centre.

After achieving this award Deborah commented ‘I did feel fully challenged and tested – which is absolutely right – and I am absolutely delighted to have passed. ““It is great to have a real award based on my actual experience and performance rather than on a brief training course that requires no experience in delivery”

Bob Laslett, Global CEO of Chaucer Consulting http://www.chaucer.com said “Chaucer is an avid supporter of CMI and especially its commitment to improve the practice of Change Management internationally. Chaucer provides Change Management to its clients and it is therefore imperative that Chaucer’s services are of top quality for CM.  In this respect having Deborah as a recognised expert in CM is significant for Chaucer and I am personally delighted with her achievement in attaining this very prestigious award”.

This award recognises our ability to perform well in this important business discipline.  As Change Management is a relatively new area of specialism, we are happy to have this independent validation that our consultant has what it takes to effectively support our clients through their challenging change journeys.  It puts us ahead of the pack in this regard.

The Change Management Institute (CMI) is an independent not-for-profit organisation set up to promote and develop the practice of change management internationally.  For more information go to http://www.change-management-institute.com
